Have you ever been in a social situation and say things with absolutely no ill intent and then get in your car and think OMG that could have totally been taken the wrong way by someone? This has happened to me and I'm always at a loss at what to do to correct the situation. I seriously would never say anything in public to hurt someone's feelings or intentionally make them feel uncomfortable. Hopefully I'm not the only person this has happened to. I think about it for hours or sometimes even days later. The moral of this story is I should probably think before I speak.

I took this picture while enjoying a relaxing evening with friends. How sweet and innocent. I hope these girls remain friends forever.

I am not a seamstress by any stretch of the imagination, but I am creative, so I decided to make a shirt for my daughter for the 4th of July. I was seriously shocked that it turned out as well as it did. I will post how I did this later. I think it turned out rather cute considering my lack of sewing skills.

While shopping at Target last night I saw several people huddled over the card isle and it took me a moment to realize they were buying Mother's Day cards. This is the 4th Mother's Day that I have not had the honor of searching for just the right card. My Mom always displayed her cards proudly. I often thought whoever bought the biggest, most ornate card must surely be the winner. I mean who wants to have purchased the tiny 3 by 5 card that the 9 by 12 card was casting a shadow upon. This makes me laugh a little which is good. My Mom was an amazing woman. She was always cooking and cleaning. It was obvious her family came first. She took me to church when I was young and then forced me to go when I was a teenager. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to tell her what a good Mom she was not long before she left this earth and I will always cherish what she said to me one day while she was in the hospital. It was so much fun! I was a little nervous the week leading up to Glitter Market. I had never been and didn't know what to expect. I didn't think I had enough stuff. I am so happy I did it (thanks to Cindy for giving me a little nudge.) I can't wait until Nov. for the next one! I am going to start making stuff for it as soon as I get over this awful cold. Yuk.
