15 Projects 15 days

I meant to post this yesterday, so I am already a little bit behind. With Glitter Market in just 15 short days I decided I was going to try to pull a Van Gogh ( not that I am anywhere near his artistic level, but he did complete like 80 works of art in 2 months one time.) Today I am working on a canvas that is already showing some potential. I will post a pick when I am done. Any and all feedback is welcome. I'm off!

Oh the Fun!!!

Wow! Last night's class was so much fun! What a beautiful group of ladies! Everyone finished and their work was amazing. All different and equally beautiful. It was such a joy. Here are some pics of everyone working hard and having fun.

Save the Date

Spring Glitter Market on Saturday April 30th from 10-5. The exact location is in limbo at the moment; it will either be right next door (to the Paper Crown) or a few storefronts down the sidewalk close to New Leaf.   There will be some amazing vendors there (including myself.) Perfect place to shop for Mother's Day or teacher gifts or just get yourself a little something because you deserve it! It is going to be so much fun!  Can you guess who is in this painting?

Feeling a Little Better

I am trying very hard to count my blessings today and not think so much on things lost. I am not perfect. I have been beating myself up a lot lately and it needs to stop. I am not the perfect wife, mom or anything for that matter. I am who I am and for the most part I do my best. I cannot do it all though. I want to, but it is not possible. I need to prioritize. I need to have a better relationship with my Heavenly Father. There are things I might not ever understand in this life and I am going to try to be okay with that. I feel the need to just stop and breath for awhile. I push myself so hard and then I usually crash equally as  hard which is what has happened, but I am grateful for the crash because it slows me down and makes me realize what is most important. I will count it all joy.

On My Mind

I have been thinking a lot lately about my Mom. She left this earth March 30th 2008. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about her, but I have been missing her so much lately that it hurts. Seriously, I ache to see her and talk to her. I miss how just by her presence she managed to keep our family together. The collapse of our family actually started with the death of my sister but when my Mom was still here it was at least somewhat still intact. I am not referring to my husband and children. I am talking about my sister's and brother and their families. There was once a time when we were all so close, seeing each other often and talking even more. I don't know how to fix it or if it is even my place to. Maybe this is the normal progression of things. Does spending time together just remind us of what we've lost. Is that why it is just easier to let time pass with not so much as even a phone call? I would like to say I'm not bitter but that would be a...
